Mrs. Nash's classes would like to give a "Tiger-ific" shout to our Senior Intern Emily Hardy. She has been with us all year and will graduate from WWCHS next week. She was a wonderful addition to our class and we will definitely miss her! We want to wish her the best of luck as she begins her college career at UGA!

Ms. Smith, ESOL teacher, received an award for Exemplary ESOL Teacher Recognition from GaDOE. We appreciate all that Ms. Smith does for our district. She is pictured with some of her first grade students, Counselor--Mrs. Tiffany Atkins, and ESOL Director--Monica Gunter. Thanks for ALL you do, Ms. Smith!

I am soooo glad we were able to help Mrs. Denise Armour yesterday morning. She had a huge problem she just couldn’t figure out how to solve and Mrs. Amos’ friends were there to help out. She was trying to order birthday pencils for next year’s first graders. She knew she needed 77, but she only had 40. My friends were able to figure out she needed to order 37 more. Phew! I’m glad we were able to help out and my kids were able to see we always need to use math.

Georgia Milestones Testing begins Monday, May 1 at 8:30 for 3rd grade students. Below are some tips to help make testing successful for the students!

We had an awesome time at our "Dance Party" for students who have read 70 or more books for our PAWsome Reading program. We enjoyed pizza, drinks, and a sweet treat! Students participating were: Alexander Baylon, Samiul Islam, Marjorie Leiva, Casey Morgan, Ember Provost, Janay Turner, Darrius Wilkinson, and Destyni Wilkinson. We are so PROUD of them!!

Happy Birthday to Etta Kate Dawson!
